New Studio Practice: Fine Arts

Erin Kaiser is a fine artist, primarily working in 2D mediums such as charcoal, graphite, and watercolor. Her work explores topics including mental health and struggles that everyone goes through with themselves. The work incorporates self-reflection and natural elements, most commonly flowers and plant life. Kaiser uses the beauty of the flowers and contrasts them with self-portraits in horrific and uncomfortable positions to amplify the beautiful and the ugly within one’s mind. Each piece is made with personal images and found images collaged together.
