My current series of paintings explore the relationship between analog photography, image capturing, and collage. I work in the abstract because of its anonymity while giving us release into imagination and belief. The life cycle of my work is not definitive but continues as material and informs the next. I use my spontaneous yet meticulous, process-driven way of making to reflect mostly memories of my childhood at this moment. My childhood blankets, games, and toys are the primary source of inspiration. I want the viewer immersed in an abstracted environment with a playful aura embracing being child-like.
