My series of photographs is a collection that highlights different meaningful moments in my relationship with cycling culture in the Midwest. The community has ties to many different subcultures within the broader concept of cycling. Throughout the past few years, I have been in an ever-changing environment of situations that opened my eyes to something that impacted me deeply. The bicycle is a sustainable vehicle for transportation, but it also allows the rider to experience movement, balance, and rhythm in one synchronous motion. These key aspects create a distinct harmony which is represented by the subjects in my images.
