Homelessness is much more than not having a home. Hesed House Homeless Shelter in Aurora, IL understands this is a place of hope. Homeless shelters are typically overpopulated, run down, and offer no privacy. Redesigning Hesed House will not only create comfort and refuge but create a space of growth and opportunity for many people that need an extra chance. By optimizing the existing real estate, single-unit housing would take the place of the traditional shelter set up of multiple individuals having to occupy large spaces. The goal of this initiative is ultimately restoring the dignity of those seeking refuge.
