MyTy

MyTy is a box of materials for children who are newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes that teaches them about their condition. The box includes items such as an activity book, logbook, colorful band-aids, an ID card, stickers, and Benny, the stuffed animal dog to hold while taking injections. This was inspired by my own experience with being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 8 years old. MyTy was created with kids in mind to make diabetes feel more approachable during an uncertain time in their lives.
